Brief Bio
Dr. Bangli Liu is a lecturer in Computer Science at the School of Computing, University of Portsmouth. She received her PhD in computing from the University of Portsmouth in 2018. Her current research interests are in the field of human behaviour analysis, computer vision, artificial intelligence, and Machine learning, and the implementation of methods in these fields to different applications such as healthcare monitoring and rehabilitation. She has won several travel awards including IEEE Student Travel Grant Award in IAPR (2017) and IEEE SMC Student Travel Grant (2016).

SCOPE

Nowadays, intelligent sensing systems, Artificial Intelligence techniques, and advanced human-computer technologies enable interaction between physical environments and people. The use of digital assets including electronic health records, self-management tools and remote collection of ‘vital signs’ combined with a deeper understanding of individuals’ physiology has led to the emergence of a new health care strategy and precision medicine. These technologies have the potential to transform many aspects of patient care, as well as diagnose, deliver therapeutic content, engagement, adherence and self-management of wellbeing.
This special session aims to bring together practitioners and researchers from academia and industry to explore advanced intelligent sensing and human-computer interaction technologies in digital well being.

TOPICS OF INTEREST

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
  • Health Monitoring Systems
  • Assistant Robotics Action Recognition in Digital Well-being
  • Innovative Sensing for Well-being Self-management
  • Artificial Intelligence and Human-Computer Interaction
  • User Experience in Well-being Management Technologies
  • User Experience of Innovative Mobile Health Devices
