Universities, R&D Groups and Academic Networks

CHIRA is a unique forum for universities, research groups and research projects to present their research and scientific results, be it by presenting a paper, hosting a tutorial or instructional course or demonstrating its research products in demo sessions, by contributing towards panels and discussions in the event's field of interest or by presenting their project, be it by setting up an exhibition booth, by being profiled in the event's web presence or printed materials or by suggesting keynote speakers or specific thematic sessions.

Special conditions are also available for Research Projects which wish to hold meetings at INSTICC events.

Instituto de Telecomunicações


Instituto de Telecomunicações (IT) is a leading private, non-profit R&D organization recognized as a State Associate Laboratory, and Technology and Innovation Centre (CTI). Established as a partnership among six universities, one polytechnic institute, and two telecoms’ partners, IT drives impactful research and innovation in Information and Communications Technologies (ICT). Institute for Systems and Robotics


The Institute for Systems and Robotics – ISR-Lisboa – is a multidisciplinary research institution in the areas of Robotics and Information Processing, including Systems and Control Theory, Signal Processing, Computer Vision, AI and Intelligent Systems and Biomedical Engineering. Research at ISR-Lisboa spans a multitude of key topics, ranging from fundamental theoretical issues to the applications of engineering methods and tools to the design and analysis of complex systems.
