Special Sessions
Special sessions are very small and specialized events to be held during the conference as a set of oral and poster presentations that are highly specialized in some particular theme or consisting of the works of some particular international project. The goal of special sessions (minimum 4 papers; maximum 9) is to provide a focused discussion on innovative topics. All accepted papers will be published in a special section of the conference proceedings book, under an ISBN reference. The proceedings are abstracted/indexed in DBLP, Google Scholar, EI-Compendex, INSPEC, Japanese Science and Technology Agency (JST), Norwegian Register for Scientific Journals and Series, Mathematical Reviews, SCImago, Scopus and zbMATH. CCIS volumes are also submitted for the inclusion in ISI Proceedings.

Scope
Pervasive Information Systems (PIS) extend the Information System paradigm by introducing a set of novel characteristics into the society. This special track aims at discussing topics related to PIS, evaluate the importance for the society and the creation of new knowledge overcoming temporal and local barriers. This special track is focused on demonstrating how to take advantages from this new sort of information systems and which kind of solutions can be developed in order to support the decision making process anywhere and anytime.

Scope
The rise of the Internet of Everything (IoE) within smart environments, from smart homes to workplaces, demands a shift towards more natural, intuitive, and adaptive interaction between people and those environments. This is essential to enable a better control of the environments we live in, allow obtaining relevant and useful information not only on those environments but also on the people living in them (including their health and well-being), as well as providing support in the activities of their daily lives.
This Special Session aims at gathering new perspectives on Interaction with Smart Environments, by fostering the presentation and discussion of ideas and research that can contribute to the advancement of the field and potentially improve people’s lives.
